R7
Cases, Resources, and Worksheets
R7 brings together the practical infrastructure for cases, protocols, registers, the Workbench, and blank worksheets. The resources structure the examination; they do not predetermine what is true, what the finding is, or what a competent body should conclude.
Function and scope
The resources page provides blank, reusable forms for bounding and documenting a Reality Audit. It is intended to reduce the risk that questions, sources, interpretations, findings, and decisions are conflated.
The worksheets may be used separately or as a connected sequence. Selection must follow the actual task, competence, jurisdiction, and consequences for affected persons.
A completed worksheet is a working document. It does not become a published finding, decision, or item of evidence merely because it follows a formal template.
Decisive distinctions
R7 brings together several practical document types, but they perform different functions and must not be treated as equivalent.
| Document type | Function | Not equivalent to |
|---|---|---|
| Worksheet | Structures questions, fields, and documentation during work. | A final finding, decision, or official form. |
| Workbench | Provides a local digital audit record with storage and export. | Central submission, case handling, or publication. |
| Example | Demonstrates a method or distinction in pedagogical form. | Evidence that an actual event occurred. |
| Case | Bounds a concrete question, body of material, parties, period, and possible consequence. | The whole person, institution, or all similar events. |
| Protocol | Sets additional requirements for particular case types or publication situations. | Automatic satisfaction of those requirements in a concrete case. |
| Register | Makes status, version, links, and correction traces searchable and reviewable. | The case itself, its material, or the grounds for the finding. |
Resource programme R7.1–R7.8 and R7-K
The first controlled resource set consists of eight modular worksheets and one short form for preliminary assessment.
Each form has its own resource version, language pair, print view, and downloadable text formats.
Mandate and Scope
Set purpose, questions, roles, period, competence, and explicit limits before the audit begins.
MDJSON
Claim, Reference, and Representation
Distinguish verbatim claim, reference, documented grounds, interpretation, implication, and actual claim strength.
MDJSON
Material and Source Register
Records origin, date, document type, version, access, authenticity, relevance, limitation, and privacy status.
MDJSONCSV
Frame, Model, and Presupposition
Examines what the frame presupposes, what is observed, calculated, or projected, and where correspondence with actuality is claimed.
MDJSON
Finding, Uncertainty, and Objection
Documents F1–F7, grounds, counter-material, alternative explanations, limitation, and dissent.
MDJSONCSV
Correction and Follow-Up
Connects action to finding, responsibility, authority, proportionality, deadline, control, and actual effect.
MDJSON
Contradiction, Decision, and Revision
Records opportunity to respond, disclosed material, responses, treatment, reasons, decision status, and revision.
MDJSON
Publication, Privacy, and Harm Safeguards
Controls publication grounds, personal data, anonymisation, source protection, third parties, harm, response, and correction channel.
MDJSON
Preliminary Reality Audit
Short form for early bounding before full audit or strong conclusion.
MDJSON
Use, competence, and limitation
Before completion begins, the user must determine the role of the form, who holds competence, and what will happen to the information.
- Use stable source and document identifiers where later review is required.
- Keep verbatim claim, documented material, interpretation, implication, and finding distinct.
- Record counter-material, uncertainty, and alternative explanations before strengthening the conclusion.
- Do not enter sensitive or confidential information without a defensible legal basis and suitable safeguards.
- Adapt the worksheet to applicable law, professional standards, mandate, and institutional procedure.
- Do not publish completed worksheets automatically. Assess privacy, source protection, contradiction, and possible harm separately.
Formats and downloads
The canonical resource is the versioned webpage. Download files are derivative working formats with the same content and identification.
| Format | Function | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Webpage | Canonical, readable, and print-ready blank version. | Published |
| Markdown | Text template for case documents, notes, and version-controlled work. | Published |
| JSON | Machine-readable template with sections, fields, and metadata. | Published |
| CSV | Table template for register-like worksheets. | Published for R7.3 and R7.5 |
| PDF / office format | May later be generated from the same canonical content. | Not a separate canonical version |
Version and revision
The resource version follows the worksheet content. Git, design, and technical formats are documented separately.
- Added or removed mandatory fields, changed procedure, logic, or scope
- New resource version
- Materially changed privacy, competence, or publication limitation
- New resource version
- CSS, typography, printing, repaired links, or accessibility
- No new resource version
- Format conversion with identical content
- No new resource version
Relation to cases, Workbench, and registers
The resources form part of a larger documentation sequence and should be read together with the Standard, Procedure, and case architecture.
